Senior Claims and Risk Management Consultant
Virginia has been an integral part of the Campania team since 1992. After serving as the Assistant Vice President of Risk Management from 2004-2007, she now functions as Campania's Assistant Vice President of Corporate Operations and Systems Management. Virginia also continues to be a valued resource to the Claims and Risk Management team as a Senior Consultant.
Virginia contributes to the department over seventeen years of experience in risk management program development. Her programs have been implemented in a variety of settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, ambulatory care centers, and by individual practitioners. As a Senior Consultant, Virginia now assists the Director of Risk Management in program development by providing input into incident investigation and risk classification processes, data procurement, and in the development of loss prevention strategies. Additionally, Virginia assists the Director of Claims in the claims management process and with litigation strategy development.
Prior to joining Campania, Virginia practiced as a Registered Nurse in a variety of positions and had over ten years experience in the management of ambulatory care clinics. As the Director of Services for the Council on Aging, she coordinated the delivery of services to seniors and served as the Chairperson of the Home Health Advisory Committee. Since September 11, 2001, Virginia has also been an active volunteer with a variety of organizations providing support to military families and wounded service members. She holds an A.A.S., a B.S.N., and a M.S. from Marymount University, and completed each degree program magna cum laude. In addition, Virginia is certified as a Texas Field Safety Representative with specialty in the area of hospitals, and also holds certification in Total Quality Management. Virginia is licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Virginia and North Carolina, and currently holds memberships in both the Assisted Living Federation of America as well as the Virginia Nurses Association.
