Mr. Santoli has over 30 years of experience managing domestic and Bermuda-based insurance companies that specialize in the underwriting of general and professional liability risks for health care facilities. Mr. Santoli is Chairman, President and CEO of The Campania Group, a holding company. Campania has three wholly owned insurance company subsidiaries. These include CampMed Casualty and Indemnity Company, Inc. of Maryland, and Health Facilities Insurance Company, Ltd.
Prior to founding The Campania Group, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Health Facilities Insurance Company, Ltd. from its founding in 1978 until 1992. Under his direction, HFIC obtained 40 surplus lines licenses and procured a significant marketplace in the healthcare general and professional liability sector. During his fourteen years as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Santoli expanded HFIC from a $.5 million in surplus captive insurer to an insurance company with over $20 million of surplus and an "A" rating from A.M. Best.
Mr. Santoli also served as the Corporate Counsel for Psychiatric Institutes of America, a large healthcare chain specializing in psychiatric and substance abuse treatment.
Mr. Santoli received a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1973 and a B.A. from Case Western Reserve University in 1967. He is admitted to the District of Columbia Bar and the Ohio Bar.
Cynthia Booth has over 20 years of insurance related experience. Ms. Booth presently serves as Senior Vice President of Operations.
From 1982 to 1992, Ms. Booth served in various administrative and operational capacities, including Vice President of Operations, at Health Facilities Insurance Corporation, a captive insurance company responsible for providing healthcare professional liability and products liability coverage for health care facilities. As Vice President of Operations, she oversaw all operations and support functions.
Prior to her insurance company experience, Ms. Booth worked in the fields of law and education including Legal Assistant and Manager for Litigation Support for the General Counsel of Mobil Oil Corporation from 1974 to 1976, legal assistant for the General Counsel of Psychiatric Institutes of America from 1983 to 1985 and as an educator from 1980 to 1983.
Ms. Booth received her B.A., from the University of Notre Dame in 1973, her M.A. from Monmouth College in 1978 and her M.B.A. from George Mason University in 1994, and a Masters in Library and Information Science from Catholic University in 2005.
Mr. Lawrence has over 20 years of experience in business development, accounting and finance. He founded Lawrence Financial Services, Inc. in 1999. Prior to that, Mr. Lawrence served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Vice President and Chief Development Officer, for Genetics & IVF Institute, Inc. Fairfax, VA, 1995-1999.
During his tenure, he led development of a successful clinical infertility and genetics joint venture in Shanghai, China, including formulation of business concept, joint venture contracting, product design/marketing plan, construction, staffing, and operations design. Prior to that Mr. Lawrence served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer with American Psych Systems, Inc., Bethesda, MD, 1993-1995 where he directed financial planning and accounting for this start-up company, including completion of a multi-facility acquisition and two rounds of equity financing. Before APS, Mr. Lawrence served as Vice President of Strategic Analysis, Psychiatric Division, Vice President of Financial Systems and Analysis, and Assistant Vice President of Acquisition and Development Analysis, Specialty Hospital Group of National Medical Enterprises from 1986-1993.
Mr. Lawrence received his B.A. Economics degree from Northwestern University in 1978 and his M.B.A. from Northwestern University in 1980.
Mr. David M. Santoli is a self-employed Attorney in Cleveland, Ohio. He has been practicing law in Ohio for over fourteen years. Mr. Santoli worked as an associate for Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan et al. from 1988 to 1993. Mr. Santoli was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1988. He received a B.A. from Case Western Reserve University in 1985 and a J.D. from the University Of Virginia in 1988. He is a member of the Cleveland Bar Association and The Justinian Forum (Italian-American Bar Association).
Michael A. Santoli has over 25 years of experience in the insurance business. His insurance expertise includes the areas of property and casualty insurance, personal lines insurance, employee benefits, life, health disability and retirement planning. Mr. Santoli is the principal owner of Campania Management Company of Ohio. Prior to joining Campania, Mr. Santoli owned and operated a private insurance agency headquartered in Bedford, Ohio specializing in property and casualty and personal lines, health, life and employee benefits. Mr. Santoli holds CLU and CHFC certifications.
Mr. Santoli received his B.B.A. degree from Case Western University in 1970.
